A sheer and elegant stripe is created by pausing the weft yarns while weaving in a highly planned sequence. The result is Chilewich’s most formal design to date, couture for the tabletop, the appropriately named Tuxedo Stripe. Though durable, more delicate maintenance may be required due to the nature of the open weave.
Designs that originated in the ambitious fashion world overflew and spilled onto the napkin ring creations. Deborah loves turning Czech crystal beads into imaginary flowers and holiday stars. Her passion and love of gardening brings the botanical aspect to the table with life like blooms adorning napkin rings. And it’s as worldly as a world can be - with designs coming from the faraway places like Philippines or Tahiti, or created locally here in Connecticut at the studio by loyal craftsman that have been with the company since the hat times.
